Gaia Reborn
Gaia Reborn, the hottest MMORPG of the last decade, has seen millions of players experience its unique world - a combination of fantasy and reality. When Gaia Reborn was a game, one goal was to make the game world a one-half scale model of the real world. This pursuit was known as the Half-Gaia Project, and it is one of the aspects which led to Gaia Reborn becoming such a popular virtual world. With regional servers having unique areas, quests, cities, and monsters, it wasn't uncommon for people to create alternate characters on other servers to experience what felt like an entirely new game.
Ten years after the game's launch, millions of players have joined and created countless characters across the many servers. Now, with the release of the latest expansion, Pioneers of Arcadia, many are getting ready to begin new adventures in the new Italian server, exploring the new region corresponding to Italy, known in Gaia as Italia. Characters would have to start from fresh in this new world, but Italy would finally get its own piece of this world.
Countless players created their characters, logged in with excitement fueling their hands as the cursor swept across the screen, and then... darkness... Everything was black, and as their eyes opened, the players found themselves in the streets of an unfamiliar city. Looking around to survey their surroundings, many players realized this city was not so new after all. While desolate and ruined, the architecture conquered by vines and greenery, this city was unmistakably Rome, but at the same time, it was not. Finding themselves in the bodies of their characters, trapped in the world of Gaia Reborn, players are left to adapt to their new reality in this fantasy world.

Not too long after the event that became known as the Apocalypse to the denizens of the world of Gaia, the electrum haired, black winged woman called Lufasu walked slowly out of the ruined, cracked streets of the city of Romalia. Even though she still had some minor issues with her new height and other changes to her body, the Enoch woman finally got to terms with her new form, getting used to the brave new world around her. At the very least, she knew she won't starve, she knew that she will have a roof above her head when she will need it, and she knew that, at the very least, she will survive. But for Lufasu, surviving was not enough. She wanted more. She wanted to achieve and do something. She wanted to bend the thread of fate to her will and forge her own path. And for that she needed to know more about this world she found herself in. But if there was something she couldn't get used to so fast... it was stares she felt on her form. This time though, the person whom this stare belonged to didn't seem to be looking at her only out of curiosity. Since the middle-aged man in simple clothes didn't seem to approach her on his own, be it out of respect or fear. It seemed that Lufasu had to approach himself.
Brief look of her Garnet coloured eyes immideately caused the interface tooltip to pop up, giving her a bit more insight on the man in front of her.
[Maurilio Nappa][Farmer] <Person of the Land>
Hm? He seemed troubled? Did he perhaps have a problem? It seemed to be rather bothersome from the very moment she saw this man, but perhaps she woud at the very least find out more about the lands around Romalia.
"Hm? Child of man, you seem very troubled by something. Stop prostrating yourself and speak. I won't harm thyne body for speaking what lies in your mind."
Lufasu said to the person in front of her. Unfortunately for her, the haughty, arrogant tone in her otherwise melodic, alluring voice which she had to deal with ever since she arrived to this world didn't quite disappear, but at the very least she seemed to get her point across.
"Hm? You say that a group of heathen monsters occupied thyne plot of land? Did the guards not deal with it? Seems that the settlement speak off, the town of Tivoli, is a rather dangerous place to live. But worry not, if you think that this one can take care of them, I shall place upon you this hospitality and erase the existence of these foul goblins. I will return when I will send them across Charon's river."
Lufasu continued, she might as well continue in this tone of voice and make use of it when she can, the quick conversation with the person of the land in front of her revealing what was his problem. A farm not far from Romalia occupied by goblins, huh? It seems that she came across a quest after all. At the very least she found out more about the town of Tivoli on the way. And while enroute to the farm she could gather some of the materials she needed for her <Scribe> crafting talent. She could at the very least write some notes when she will visit the library in Romalia next time.
After that, it didn't take Lufasu too long to finally enter the Ciminian Forest. Slowly, her boots stopped clattering against the cracked roads of Romalia, replaced with the sound of footsteps on soft soil, accompanied by the ocassional crack when Lufasu stepped on a twig. The light took a gentle green tone to it as it passsed through the thin ceiling of leaves above the woman's head, which seemed to spread all the way across the forrests that filled the area between Romalia and Ostia, with the soft scent of wood, leaves, and other scents, which could be summed up as the scent of nature, slipping into her nostrills. On one side, it felt good to breathe fresh air instead of the air in the cities before Apocalypse... on the other hand... It still felt strangely surreal feeling to her. After all, one day she was sitting in her comfortable study chair, sipping dark ale, relaxing and playing a game... The next one she was sent into this strange new world.
"Well then, perhaps the two of you could introduce yourself instead following me silently."
The Electrum haired winged woman said with a slight, knowing smirk as she turned around, the large, black wings spreading ever so slightly while her garnet eyes stared calmly onto the pair behind her, one pink-haired and wearing a brigandine, the other a tall, towering looking woman with a black ponytail, the duo looking almost commically, bringing memories of Monty Python's works to the girl.
"Or did you just want to ask what is the speed of a fully laden swallow?"

Atlas and Axey had been exploring the area around Romalia to get acquainted with the area, assuming it musn't be too dangerous if the people of the land had been living there with relative prosperity.
The pair walked in relative silence until Ellie broke the silence. "We might as well gather some stuff on our way there. I could use some wood for the Mechanic talent" "Don't you need an axe for that?" "Only if I want to cut down a tree. Wood picked off the ground also does the trick, which is what Ellie plans on using. You've been doing a lot of progress with your voice by the way." Atlas replied, patting his head. "Thanks, way easier than expected, but then again I do have a skill that literally does it for me. All I do is mimick what my body does on its own whenever I use a music skill.
They spend several hours looking for materials, Axey searching for fruits and plants he might recognize from his time studying medicine and Atlas searching for wood sturdy enough to work with. They sadly did not have much luck with that, only finding a handful of useable materials after several hours of exploration. They avoided combat as much as possible, and the few monsters that did cross their paths were luckily either docile or ran away at the sight of them. God those cat-cow things are way cuter than they have any right to be.
While walking through a village of People of the Land on their way back to Romalia, Axey was able to hear a conversation with his higher than normal hearing that piqued his interest.
"Hey, looks like some villagers need help dealing with Goblins and they're asking an adventurer for help. What do you say we join them? Could be fun, and you'd get to try out your skills." "Sounds like a plan. Let's go." "But stay behind Atlas during the fight, we still don't know how dangerous Goblins are now that it's not a game anymore, and you're too squishy to risk you taking hits." "Good to see being transported into a parallel world doesn't stop you from being a mother hen, Ellie. I'll try to stay out of trouble. Bards aren't nearly as squishy as in the old server though, we're meant to be frontline off-tanks."
As the duo walked up behind the adventurer, she turned around, probably having heard their approach. "Well then, perhaps the two of you could introduce yourself instead following me silently." Welp, we're off to a great first impression. he thought. "Or did you just want to ask what is the speed of a fully laden swallow?" "Was that..." "Yes it was, Ellie, yes it was."
"Hello there, we didn't mean to sneak up on you. I couldn't help but overhear a person of the land asking you for help and we thought you'd be interested in having some extra party members. My name's Axey, I'm a bard, and my friend here is Atlas, a Paladin. About the swallow: the answer depends on wether it's an African or an European Swallow and how much weight it's carrying. It needs to flap its wings fourty three times a minute, and although a African Swallow could carry a coconut while doing so, an European one definitely could not."
"As he said, the name's Atlas, nice to meet you. I love the look by the way."

Lufasu's Garnet coloured eyes continued to watch the two with casual interest while the gently forrest breeze played around with the electrum coloured locks of hair which fell freely past the wings which were at the moment, folded quite close to the figure of the woman, causing her form, dressed in the simple cloth novice robe, to stand out even more against this black background of jet black feathers. Truly, the strange duo in front of her looked as if someone cut them right out of a comedy written by Monty Python and put them into Gaia instead, perhaps as some way to create a characteristic, comedic duo for some novel. Lufasu was fascinated, with adventurers like these traveling those lands, she surely wouldn't be bored.
"Hello there, we didn't mean to sneak up on you. I couldn't help but overhear a person of the land asking you for help and we thought you'd be interested in having some extra party members. My name's Axey, I'm a bard, and my friend here is Atlas, a Paladin. Lufasu gave them a slight smile which, with the way her character seemed to handle, perhaps looked like a haughty smirk whcih was redeemed only by the Enoch's beauty, while she listened to their introductions. And surely enough, the bard followed with a response to the words she jokingly said to them. "As he said, the name's Atlas, nice to meet you. I love the look by the way."
She tilted her head to one side at the compliment with a faint chuckle slipping out of her lips.
Ara, Ara, t'is truly nice to find a cultured person amids the legions of lost ones going through a culture shock and wandering aimlessly across the ruined streets of Romalia. Two more souls joining my party would certainly make the fight easier. And my thanks for the compliment, even though this look brought me more misfortune than gains so far."
Lufasu said while making a small gesture with her left hand, her wings, naturally, unfolding slightly, the breeze causing her feathers to move around slightly. Ah, I still can't get used to this feeling. But I guess it will be fine in a week or so. Lufasu thought as she felt it.
"Either way, I suppose t'is myne turn for introductions. This one's name is Lufasu Amaryllis, shaman by class and a scribe. I won't be a hurdle on the back line however, as I prefer' fighting from the front lines. And the one on myne shoulder is called Cherubael. My contracted spirit."
Lufasu nodded gently as she introduced herself, her hand rising over towards her shoulder to show the ghastly, faint, small, winged spectral figure of a woman similar to Lufasu surrounded a silvery glow that appeared on her shoulder for a moment, waving over towards the two before disappearing again.
"Well then, shall we head out? I hope that you don't mind if I pick some herbs on the way. I to create some maps later on, when I will return from this... Quest."
She added with a faint smile, looking over her shoulder as she turned around, wings folding closer to her body again, her hand beckoning the other two adventurers to follow her as she headed out, walking deeper into the forrest, hopefully followed by the two.
"Luckily for us, it seems the estate which was occupied by those heathen monsters doesn't seem to be quite far from here, t'is but a hour and half of walking, from what the person of the land from before told to me."
Lufasu added, talking casually while walking past the trees at a brisk pace, ignoring the docile Cattele which ocassionally lazed on a stone, enjoying the rays of sun which made it through the treetops, ocassionally stopping near patches of plantlife and the crooked, small trees which sometimes made their appearance, ocassionally bending over and plucking off a plant that had some useful prosperities to it, storing the collected items in her inventory, letting them promptly disappear from existence as they were stored.

Oh god she speaks in outdated dialect. Ellie thought as the winged woman introduced herself. Hey! Don't be rude. Need I remind you of the time you used to put japanese words into all your setences and think you looked cool? Shut up, I was 13 years old, it's different.
"T'is truly nice to find a cultured person amids the legions of lost ones going through a culture shock and wandering aimlessly across the ruined streets of Romalia." Axey and atlas both could not agree more.
"Indeed it is. We couldn't stand the amount of people on the street crying over what they lost so we decided to just spend a day or two on the outskirts of the city until they calmed down."
"Right, it was just too... depressing. We can't let that negativity affect all of us. We need the best from this situation. Let's not dwell on that, shall we.
After that brief moment the more cheerful atmosphere returned as Lufasu continued her introduction, presenting her class and talent.
"A frontline shaman? I've never seen someone use such a build before. With our current composition though, I'm kinda glad that's the case. Having both of you within range of Dominating Presence will make this much easier." "Cherubael huh? She's pretty cute. Had I known I'd get a chibi version of me I'd have picked Shaman. It's also nice to see someone else play a melee support."
After the introductions were finished the duo invited their new acquaintance to their party and marched onwards, stopping to gather resources and patting some friendly cattele along the way.
After about an hour had passed, Axey asked his two teammates to stop for a moment and discuss a bit. "We should probably discuss strategy before we get there. As the paladin, Atlas is obviously going to be our main tank. It seems none of us is especially strong damage-wise, but I have the Monster Tamer talent, so if we encounter a monster before fighting the goblins we can have it fight alongside us. Alternatively I can tame one of the goblins to effectively reduce their numbers, but goblins are usually the weakest of all the monsters so I think having something else will probably be better. I've heard from another adventurer that the boars here pack quite a punch, so that's an option. Goblins shouldn't deal too much damage, so I plan on using my songs in Presto, which will boost our attack power and attack speed, but lower our natural mana and health regeneration, unless either of you objects to it. Other than that I have Oscillating Weapons and Instrument Strike as semi-decent damage options." "Presto seems fine to me. How about you Lufasu? As I pointed out earlier, I have Dominating Presence which passively reduces both of your aggro generations which will come in handy. Aside from that I can use Holy Weapon to heal us if we take too much damage and if one of you gets attacked I can use Protector's Charge to get the enemy off you long enough to give you time to breathe."

As the two talked over their experience with the city after the events of the Apocalypse, Lufasu let out a soft sigh with a faint smile.
"Mhm. If I were to do that I would probably complain that I couldn't finish my last drink. I had a flaggon of dark ale at myne disposal. It was Leffe, dark belgian ale, if you know the brand. I hope that it will be possible to reproduce something like that in this world. Though I do hope that people will find the will to move onwards in this world. No use crying over spilt beer, I'd say."
Lufasu responded with her own opinion on the experience with the city full of sulking, depressed adventurers that lost hope after what happened. Her expression, which bore faintly bittersweet smile changed however as she heard the reactions of the two to her statement about class and fighting style.
"I'd like to think that I am original, but I am merely fitting my style to what I were used before the events of Apocalypse. And ah, yes. I were pleasantly surprised when Cherubael appeared after I summoned my spirit. I will have to see, however, if other Shaman's experienced the same."
Lufasu said with a smile as she leaned closer to the small figure on her shoulder, nuzzling her cheek against it while one of her hands pet the small figure in way, one would pet a cat, before finally dismissing her. With introductions done and the party marching onwards on the way of walking so well known to all players of multiplayer RPGs, they strolled leisurely through the forrests of Ciminian Forrest, going zig zag from places which could have resources to other, picking up any usefull thing that wasn't bolted down, as all adventurers would.
Clock ticked as a hour flew by them, the party stopping on Axey's request. The words which the two said were making sense to the black winged shaman, her Garnet eyes jumping from Axey to Atlas as they talked and discussed their options and strategy.
"I have no problem with going in hot with Presto, I'd say its best to end the combat before we get tired."
Lufasu started with a response to what what Axey had sid before offering her own outlook on the strategy they have selected.
"With Dominating Presence, it will be best for me to stay around Atlas. As for the Goblins, considering they attacked an estate like that, they will probably headed by a Hobgoblin, from what I have found out from the library in the city and the People of the Land. My strongest spells presently are focused on Curse damage, so I'd say that I will use both of them on the Hobgoblin before we clash and then focus on it. Thanks to Thanatophobia, if you will manage to kill one of the goblins early, the Hobgoblin will drop down in Terror, giving me enough time to finish it off with the melee skills which I chose, if you are not against it. I wanted to test this way of fighting out against a bit stronger foe either way. If I were to take more damage than expected, I will fall back and switch with Atlas and use my Grimoire to attack from afar, but I don't think it will come to that, honestly. Protector's Charge and Holy weapon should be enough to save us from any unexpected, awkward situations we may get into."
Lufasu formulated a strategy with what the two said in mind and offered it to the two calmly, resting a hand on her side as she watched them, waiting for their response to what she said before chuckling softly and shrugging her shoulders, the jet black wings on her back spreading as if to complement her words and gesture.
"After all - Virtue is bold, and goodness never fearful. - I'd dare to quote. We'll go in hot and finish them off before they will cause any major problems."

Axey and Atlas sat and listened as Lufasu explained her strategy. Once she was done, Atlas stood up and spoke.
"So, Axey and I focus the small ones, you and whatever monster Axey tames will take on the big guy. Be careful though. Axey may be a frontline support like you are, but Bards are meant for that job. If there's no more questions, then let's go kill some goblins."
"I have a small one but Lufasu can answer along the way. You didn't tell us what your secondary talent was. I'm assuming it's not combat-oriented since you didn't talk about it, but asking just in case."
After a long walk towards the goblin-infested place Axey requested they'd wait for him to find a monster to tame before going in. After a little bit of searching the group saw a quadrupedal beast slowly walk out of a bush staring the group down. The monster's shape vaguely looked like that of a boar, but it was a far cry from the animals Astérix hunts on a daily basis. Simply put, it was huge both in size and in build. It was like a boar twice as big as normal ones had been going to the gym 24/7. On either side of its snout were huge two-tipped tusks painted red by dried blood.
"Well isn't he cute" said Axey sarcastically as Atlas readied her shield. Without missing a beat, Axey started approaching slowly preparing to cast Basic Taming while internally screaming "please work please work please work please work"
As soon as Axey started the casting animation, the boar began to charge right or him. Atlas barely managed to jump out in front of her friend and took the hit head on, the tusk piercing right through her armor like it was paper. "Shit, I think I'm bleeding. This fucker hits like a truck." "Almost done casting!" Soon after he said that, Basic Taming finally went off and the boar stopped attacking. Once it did, Axey rushed to see Atlas' wound. "Lie down, we need to stop the bleeding ASAP" he said while watching his friend's health bar gradualy drop. "It's ok... I see an icon ticking down. Looks like even bleeding works the same as it does in-game. 20 seconds left on it." Atlas answered while walking towards a small tree and activating Holy Weapon. "Since the bleeding will stop naturally, I might as well test out something before it does. Holy weapon requires "a successful basic attack", but it doesn't state I need to target a creature. Normally you wouldn't even be able to target something other than a creature in-game."
She screamed "HYAAAA" as she swung her mace at the tree, sending splinters of wood everywhere and feeling her wound slightly close as she made contant. "Holy shit it works!" With those words she started swinging wildly until the skill's effect ended and the tree was broken in half. "Well, not a full heal, but it healed about half the damage I took from that. Ready to go in when you guys are." Axey couldn't help but stare in amazement for a moment. She had a hole in her side a few moments ago but she was able to keep calm and test out the mechanics of a skill while bleeding profusely. "R-right, let's go."
Post by Lufasu Amaryllis on Apr 1, 2019 21:26:57 GMT
"Ah, don't worry, I kept that in mind. I raised my stats a bit to improve me survivability and close-quarters melee performance because of that after I did some exploration in Romalia. As for my other talent it really isn't related to combat in any way, it works more with information gathering and talking to put it well. I guess I could show you later on."
Lufasu responded to the duo before waving the talk about her other talent aside. After all, since Apocalypse had happened, the Courtesan talent didn't influence just people of the Land, but it had distint effect on adventurers as well, causing the COurtesan to be much more charismatic and charming. And while her passive skill of <Loose Ends> worked primarily on People of Land, she didn't intend to risk the two companions thinking that she charmed them using some shady tricks. Or well, she at least hoped to build up some trust before she would tell them.
Soon there after as they began to approach the goblin-infested estate, Axey requested that they would wait for him before going in. Lufasu nodded slowly in response while the two readied themselves for taming of the boar. "Very well then, while the two of you will take care of that I will scout ahead and take a look at the farm." She said while walking off towards the goblin occupied farmland.
Stepping over roots, rocks and boulders, Lufasu slowly made her way towards the place, taking a long look at the farm from the place where she was standing. It seemed quite convenient that the game gave her a perfectly healthy body, her vision perfect from the getgo, even if it was paid by the ways her body had changed and the fact that her body in the game started out more fragile than her real body. Luckily for the group though, there didn't seem to be that many goblins. The big, muscular goblin which seemed to be the leader of this group was squatting on a makeshift 'throne' made of an old cart full of riches which the pack had assembled, wearing armor that seemed reminiscent of what a gladiator would wear, fully enclosed metal helmet, chain skirt and some improvised metal protectors on various parts of it body, short gladius-like sword on its waist with a trident resting nearby. The other goblins, numbering three were busy going with its own mery duty of destroying and littering around the estate, armed with various assortment of small weapons of abysmal quality with similar equipment as their armor, the green creatures giggling wickedly as one of them jumped onto a pumpkin and destroyed it.
Hmm... Three small ones and a Hobgoblin, right? That should be easy enough for us to take on. And it will be good practice on how larger combat works. Should be quite useful.
*crack*
Lufasu turned around quickly, spotting one of the green, vile creatures staring right at her with its little, evil looking eyes. This one particular gobbo seemed to be wearing leather armor made out of fur and several stolen, probably human-made belts it must have found in someone's dresser, being armed with a crude looking club, its mouth hanging open in surprise, showing two rows of tiny, yellowy teeth.
Lufasu didn't intend to give it time to attack first, immideately raising her hand, cursing the goblin with <Dark Assimilation> The Curse stattus effect popping up under the HP bar of the goblin as the ghastly hands began clawing at the small figure, returning small fragments of mana back to Lufasu. The Green creature, visibly spooked and angry, didn't waste any time after it got hit, charging towards Lufasu in a desperate attack. But the Goblin wasn't the only one who didn't waste any time, Lufasu snapping her fingers, bigger spirit gripping the goblin from the inside as she used <Thanatophobia>, the second, stronger curse status causing the Goblin's health to drop at a rather rapid pace, affecting the goblin with the Thanatophobia debuff. It didn't take long for it to cross the distance, but even like that Lufasu was prepared. She dodged to the side, getting only a scratch from the Goblin's strike as it torn through the novice robe she was wearing, leaving a red line on one of her legs. After dodging, Lufasu stepped forwards, swinging her shortsword at the Goblin, the skill <Forward Stride> surrounding the sword's blade with a dart-shaped aura as she stabbed the goblin, causing blood to gush out of its wound and cover the blade, rather large chunk of its health disappearing from its health bar, the goblin screeching angrily as it prepared to attack Lufasu again.
"Disappear."
Lufasu muttered to herself as she activated <Upheaval>, leisurely stepping forwards, raising her foot, surrounded by a golden glow and giving a powerful, quick kick to the goblin's face, sending it flying, face first, off into a nearby tree where it ended its flight. While the skill itself and the crash dealt only low amount of damage, all of the damage from the curses and the melee added up, causing Thanatophobia to activate, the Goblin laying under the tree in absolute terror, rooted in place, unable to do otherwise than just watch Lufasu which approached him and ended the combat with a quick movement of her sword which she used to decapitate the goblin, its body bursting into rainbow coloured baubles, leaving some of the loot behind. And it seemed like the other goblins didn't notice the nearby combat, far too busy with their merry littering to notice the nearby combat.
Well, it seems that combat here feels quite natural, even when my body feels a bit sluggish. If I will be cautious, I should be able to kill the Hobgoblin.
Lufasu thought as she returned to the group, goblin's blood still dripping off her blade to the ground, slight swing of the arm getting rid of the majority of it.
"From what I saw there is three goblin's and one hobgoblin at the farm. I took a care of a scout which was wandering around on the way. How did the taming go on your side? I assume it was succesful."
She said while taking a quick look at the now tamed boar.

Axey and Atlas went back to the metting point to wait for Lufasu to come back.
"Good job. Atlas and I had some... complications when subduing the boar, but nothing major. You girls ready?
"You bet your ass I am." With those words, Atlas charged towards the farm with a loud warcry to attract the Goblins' atention. Once they were aggroed onto her, the rest of the group started acting. Axey sneaked up on one of the goblins and activated Minnesong of the White Maiden in Presto, before shouting "COME ON AND SLAM" as he swung his lute at the back of the goblin's head, the attack being buffed by Oscillating Weapons followed by hitting the goblin a second time before it had time to recover using Instrument Strike as he said "AND WELCOME TO THE JAM"! The chained attacks had the intended effect of barely leaving the target alive, making it an easy way to trigger Lufasu's Thanatophobia.
In the meantime, the Boar had charged at the Hobgoblin, impaling it on the beast's tusks the same way Atlas had been impaled moments before while the group's Paladin was distracting it, letting the small goblins do small amounts of damage to build up more stacks of Valor and blocking most of the Hobgoblin's attacks. Nice! thought Ellie as she saw the tusks tear into the monster's flesh. Glad we got the Boar on our side. That attack is fucking scary.
"Hey, Atlas, a little help over here! Axey shouted as the two remaining Goblins changed their focus to him. Oh no you don't! Atlas thought as she activated Protector's Charge, dashing towards one of the goblins and knocking him down before activating Holy Weapon to attack the other and heal Axey in the process.
Axey's response was a short "Thanks!" before his focus returned to the fight, using his lute to finish off the goblin that he first attacked to trigger Lufasu's skill, interrupting the Hobgoblin right as it was about to catch her off guard with its club.
He stopped for one moment to take a deep breath and assess the battle. One goblin is Taunted so he's no issue right now, Lufasu and the Boar are handling the hobgoblin well enough. Guess I'm going for the last remaining Goblin. Axey readied his Lute to strike once again and realized he felt... weaker. Crap... "My song just ran out!" he said as he swung with an Instrument Strike at the goblin while Atlas bashed its face from the other side with her shield. The result was an explosion of goblin brains which immediately dissolved into light and particle effects before it even hit the ground. "Two down!" shouted Atlas as her and Axey moved onto the last goblin, which offered little to no resistance. After quickly dealing with it, the duo turned around just in time to see Lufasu finish off the Hobgoblin.
"Whew, that was-" Axey began before being cut off. "-AMAZING! DID YOU SEE HOW I JUST FLEW WHEN THEY ATTACKED YOU?" "Yeah, that looked fucking cool! And the shield slam/instrument strike on that second goblin!" he turned to Lufasu. "You were really cool too! How you handled the Hobgoblin on your own! We should totally do more adventuring together. He said while sending her a friend request.
"Let's take whatever loot they might have dropped and head back. We can pick some more materials on the way back."

"This one is ready as always. Let's get the world rid of the existence of those foul creatures."
Lufasu said with a slight smirk as they rushed out of the woods, loud warcry that Atlas let out not disappointing, more than catching the attention of the goblins, the leader, hobgoblin, letting out a loud screech of its own, rallying the three minions with its <Battle Command> ability, giving them a small bonus to their pitiful stats.
While Axey, Atlas and the tammed boar rushed forth to a frontal clash with the goblins, Lufasu raised one of her hands from the leather bound grimoire she had ready at her belt, casting both of the curses, <Thanatophobia> and <Dark Assimilation> on the hobgoblin, feeling a slight, dark smile slip onto her face as she watched the two curse statuses with their associated debufs slip under the hobgoblin's health bar, making the once so cocky hobgoblin rather insecure as spirits gripped at its soul, letting its health slip away, that disappearance of health soon sped up as the Boar slammed into it at full speed, adding the bleed effect to the mix.
Quick <Spell Bolt> shot from the Grimoire as the two companions clashed with the other Goblin's scorched its shoulder with a ball of purble magical energy and then even Lufasu closed into melee, switching her weapon to the novice shortsword she had ready at hand, her movement changing fluidly into a strike of <Forward Stride> the sword, covered in dart-shaped aura cutting off a chunk of the hobgoblin's vitality, splattering blood across the grass under them before Lufasu jumped up, transitioning into animation of <Upheaval> lufasu taking a firm step forward before raising her feet and slamming them into the hobgoblin's chest, sending the attack sending the massive goblin two meters back. It didn't seem that it was very impressed by this exchange of blows, immideately rushing back forwards to attack Lufasu, swinging its massive club at Lufasu wildly.
But aside of just few near hits, it didn't manage to hit Lufasu while she covered the Hobgoblins with plethora of shallow cuts... before finally, the hobgoblin managed to regain his footing and raised its club and swung it at an angle where it would be impossible for Lufasu to dodge. She clicked her tongue, preparing herself for the impact which would, without any doubts, hurt quite badly... but... then Axey finished off one of the goblins, triggering the effect of <Thanatophobia>, the hobgoblin freezing in terror from death of its comrade.
"My gratitude, Axey."
Lufasu said shortly as she thrust the short sword into the neck of the Goblin, making full use of the moment that the effect gave her, cleaving and hacking at the hobgoblin... before it finally dissolved into light particles, loot and floating colorful bubbles which soon disappeared, leaving the three adventurers in the field, victorious.
"I am flattered, I still have a lot to learn about the combat in this world. Without you finishing off one of the goblins at the right moment, it might have hit me in a rather ugly way. And I wouldn't be opposed to that, it was definitely a pleasant experience to have you two as comrades in arms."
Lufasu said with a smile and accepted the friend request before nodding in agreement.
"Indeed, that would be wise. I need to say that I look quite forwards to a moment of rest in Romalia after we will return."
She said with a shrug and a chuckle as the three went on their way, away from the plundered farm, back into the forrests that surrounded them.

Welcome to the help dialog for the Custom Mini-Profile Creator plugin!
Click on any of the tabs above to go through the plugin configuration process!
You can access this menu at any time by clicking on the icon in the bottom right bar (may not be applicable if you're on Forums.net), or you can disable the welcome window and/or the icon by going to Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator and changing the Show Help option.
This step is essential as it gives the plugin everything it needs on the page to get as much profile information as possible.
To make the profile variables work you'll need to add a new line to the very end of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and paste the code below on it. The code should be placed completely outside of the mini-profile, so if you're using the default mini-profile template this will be after the very last closing </div> tag. This needs to be done on every theme you have the plugin enabled on as the template is theme-specific.
If your mini-profile template is already customized and you've hit the variable limit for your template you're free to remove any lines from the code below if they contain information that you don't plan on using. For example, if you have no plans to ever add a user's IP to their mini-profile for staff reference you can remove <div class="mp-info ip">$[user.ip]</div> from the code and everything else will still work just fine.
Once you've added the HTML from the Layout Templates tab you're ready to move on to building your mini-profiles. If you want to get going and try some out now or you're not very adept at HTML, CSS, or Javascript, worry not! This plugin includes some examples for you to try out. You're free to skip to the Custom Profile Fields tab and read over this tab later when you're ready to build your own.
Here's a quick rundown of each of the components in Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator:
Name This is the name you'll be adding to your custom profile field dropdown once you've finished coding the mini-profile. Pretty self-explanatory. Make sure this name is unique from every other name you use for your mini-profiles or you'll end up overwriting the earlier ones in the list.
HTML This is the HTML that will go inside your mini-profile. You can use just about any HTML tag here so long as it's appropriate for where the mini-profile is showing on the page. Please refrain from using <style> or <script> tags here. You have the next two sections for that! Also, remember that mini-profiles can show multiple times on the same page, so you shouldn't add ID attributes to any of your elements here. Two elements on the same page cannot have the same ID per HTML standards.
CSS This is where you'll place what would normally go in your forum's style sheet or what would normally be between <style> tags. Try to code your mini-profile's HTML in a way that will allow you to target it specifically with your selectors. For example, you can surround all of the content in your HTML with a <div> element with a class and target that class and its child elements specifically with your CSS. That way you don't accidentally target every mini-profile on the page with CSS that was meant for the one you're building. One more thing: The forum theme's CSS still applies beforehand, so your mini-profile may look right in one theme but not in another. The best way to circumvent this is to define as many styles as you can to override the theme's CSS.
Javascript Anything that normally goes between <script> tags will go here. This one's a bit tricky since you'll obviously want to target the custom mini-profile specifically. Luckily there's an easy way to do that. In your statements you can use the $(this) variable to target the mini-profile if you're coding using jQuery. Otherwise, if you only plan on using standard Javascript you can target $(this)[0] instead.
Once you've finished building your mini-profiles it's finally time to add them to the Edit Profile page for use! To enable selection of custom mini-profiles you'll first need to add two specific custom profile fields in Members > Custom Profile Fields in your forum's admin area:
Mini-Profile Theme
Staff Mini-Profile Theme
Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles that are designed for member use. You can set the Who Can Edit option for this field to Staff With Power if you only want staff to be able to choose mini-profiles for users. Otherwise, if you want members to freely be able to choose their own mini-profiles you can choose Members and Staff With Power.
Staff Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles designed specifically for staff use. This field is completely optional.
Set the type for both of these fields as Drop Down Selection. Click on the (View/Edit) link to add mini-profile names to each of these fields.
If you've just installed this plugin you should have three different mini-profiles already installed by default: Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3. You can add these to your dropdowns to test them out and see the plugin in action.
If you're having trouble getting this plugin to work despite following the instructions in the previous tabs you may want to check that each of your themes meets the prerequisites below in Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile.
First, ensure that opening tag of your mini-profile template includes the $[miniprofile_class] variable in its class. On the default ProBoards theme it should look something like this:
<div class="$[miniprofile_class]">
Next, make sure that the default {foreach} loop for custom fields is present inside your mini-profile. It doesn't need to be visible, so you're free to add it inside a hidden element if you don't plan on displaying it or if it would mess up the appearance of your own custom template.
Beyond that you can do whatever you like to the mini-profile template for the most part and it shouldn't negatively impact the plugin.
The following is a list of available variables for use in the HTML section of the mini-profile creator and their definitions. Adding any of these to a mini-profile will generate the content described in its definition in place of the variable so long as the information that variable outputs is visible to you.
To reference your forum's custom profile fields you can use $[user.customfieldname], substituting "customfieldname" with your custom field's name. You'll need to type the name in all lowercase with no spaces and only use characters A-Z and 0-9.
For example, Mini-Profile Theme becomes $[user.miniprofiletheme]. This will output the value of the custom field. In the case of this example, it'll be the name of the mini-profile theme you've chosen in your profile.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These will only work if you followed the steps in the Installation tab of this window on each of your themes. Any themes that do not include the template code specified there will not have these variables replaced in the mini-profile.

You can utilize the $(this) variable in the Javascript component to target the mini-profile <div> element. For example, if you wanted to add a class to the mini-profile you can use:
$(this).addClass('class-name-here');
Profile variables can also be used in the Javascript component in this plugin. In Javascript the value undefined is used to signify that a value doesn't exist for the variable you've specified. With this in mind you can use profile variables in Javascript conditional statements within the plugin similar to how they're used in the actual layout templates section of the admin area.
if(variable) will only run if the variable you specify has a value.
if(!variable) will only run if the variable you specify has no value.
Example 1 (variable has value):
if(user.group){
$(this).find('.group').show();
}
If the user has their group displayed in their profile the above Javascript would make the HTML below visible if you had it hidden with CSS.
